Volume Disk Space Warning every time job runs

Post by jcofin13 »

Here is probably a dumb question.

WE use vbr and backup a few machines using a protection group.

Right now, simply put, there is 1 machine in the protection group and that PG is set to back up "Entire VM"
Every time the job runs it throws a warning about the D drive being almost full. Clearly it is almost full because its a 10gb HP recovery partition. No idea why we decided to back that up in the first place but the warnings are annoying.

1. Can the job be changed so that it backups volumes only and then only select the C drive?
2. Will it throw the same warning about the D drive? Is it a function of the backup to alert you on almost full drives via the agent as a health check or only on the volumes you have selected for backup?

Id rather not attempt to change the job if its just going to keep warning about the drive.

Hello,

There is a registry key for that
Workaround: Disable Free Space Warning
