[VHRISO] Veeam Hardened Repository ISO Upgrade

Post by somoa »

Hey

Have 0.17 VHR installed. With the release of 2.0 how would do you go about upgrading/updating it to this new version?

Hello,
in general there is no need to upgrade because the only changes are that ping & DHCPv6 is allowed now and the faillock configuration was changed in a way that the account gets unlocked automatically after 1min.

If you really want to have these two changes, then "re-install" the the only built-in option.

Best regards

[Merged] Upgrading Veeam Hardened Repository v1 to VHR ISO v2

Post by Stabz »

Hi everyone,

Is it possible to upgrade an older Veeam HR (version 1) installation to VHR ISO v2?

Or do I need to reinstall the system partition?

Hi Stabz,

I've merged your post with an existing topic on the subject. Please see Hannes' answer above.

Based on Hannes' answer tho, I would ask what is end-goal here for upgrading?

Hey David,
Hope you are fine, we must upgrade a VBR v12 to v13. If I remember well the "v1" is not compatible.
