Local object repository for V12/13

Post by TDG »

Hi,

I'm currently running Veeam v12 on Windows (on a VM with CPU licencing) and planning to move to Linux v13.

Now, I don't have a local repository. Backups are sent directly to Wasabi, which is working well, but I'd like to add a local immutable S3 repository.

Options I'm considering:

- https://www.scality.com/ – can provide one hardware which will run both the v13 app and S3 storage.
- https://objectfirst.com/ – can provide hardware for S3 storage only, so I would need a separate server to run Veeam.

I like the idea of an all-in-one appliance (including Veeam and S3 storage) and would prefer not to build my own solution.

I'd appreciate any advice or recommendations.

Cheers,
R

Hi TDG,

I moved your topic to our Object Storage as a Backup Target forum as it's more accurate for the topic. Purely a house-keeping measure.

I know a lot of clients working with both and they're quite happy with their solutions, so from the Veeam side not much to tell here except that probably you'll be happy with both. Will let others chime in with their more direct experiences.
