Upgrade failure 13.0.2.7159 -> 13.1 -> vCenter shows excluded

Post by pmichelli »

I just performed an upgrade to VeeamOne 13.1 from version 13.0.2.7159. The upgrade was successful , did not give any errors, all services have started. I can see in the vSphere (8.0.3k) logs that the VeeamOne service account refreshed the hardware after the update.

I log into the client and the vCenter is grayed out and shows 'excluded'. If I right click on it, the option to validate credentials are grayed out as well. All i can do is remove the server.

I can't figure out how to re-enable it. I ended up rolling the snapshot back as I don't want to be without monitoring over the weekend. I can try again next week and if it fails again, I will open a SR. I wanted to ask if this is a known issue or if there is something I can do myself should this occur on the next attempt.

I also got email alerts that all the VMs were excluded : Details: Object has been excluded from monitoring

Hello,
Nothing reported currently, so we will appreciate that support ticket with logs. As a quick thought, maybe the VONE lost the license in the process and the vCenter was excluded somehow.

Please if you can give it another try we will appreciate it.

Thank you!
