Is BTRFS LUKS system drive backup encrypted by default?

When i do the backup from within Linux installed on a LUKS encrypted BTRFS drive, and i backup self (same system drive), then resulting backup wile content will be decrypted or it is necessary to apply encryption https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/agent ... tml?ver=13 ? Possibly that backup wizard screen should explain/suggests this in case it detects that i am doing a backup of a currently decrypted LUKS system drive.

As far as I understand, LUKS only protects the data while it’s encrypted on the source disk. Once the system is unlocked, Veeam is backing up the readable data, so the resulting backup isn’t automatically encrypted by LUKS. If the backup also needs to be protected, Veeam’s own backup encryption would need to be enabled.

I agree that a warning in the backup wizard could be helpful here, especially when Veeam detects that the source is an unlocked LUKS system volume. It would prevent users from assuming the backup has the same encryption protection as the original disk.
