Exiting the AD domain impact

What is the impact when the Veeam Backup Server v13 is removed or removed from the AD domain to follow the security best practice?

My understanding is that the service account that runs all of the services using the DOMAIN\service-vbr format will stop working.

We are not in the position to migrate to the Veeam backup appliance yet.
