Veeam update schedule

Hello,

Does Veeam add new update for appliance on specific date or not ?
I mean, Microsoft official updates are always the second thuesday of the month.

For Veeam, is there something I need to know to plan correctly when I need to update the appliances .

Hello,

No, there is no fixed release day. Veeam product updates ship when they are ready. The recent V13 builds listed in KB4738 went out on a Thursday, three Wednesdays and a Tuesday. The appliance also receives operating system package updates, and it comes from the upstream Linux repository.

So plan around your maintenance window. In Update Settings you pick a weekly or monthly window, and Veeam Updater installs everything available at that point. Security updates are always included. Other updates are installed only if you opt in, and major releases never install automatically. If you set the window to None, security updates are still forced once the compliance deadline is reached, which is 30 days by default and can be extended to 90.
