Enterprise Manager Proxmox Support

I was advised by Veeam support to register and post my question here. It is as follows:

We are evaluating our hypervisor for potential replacement, and Proxmox is a consideration in large part due to Veeam's compatibility allowing us to continue to use Veeam for our backup solution. That said, we rely on the self-service capabilities provided via the Veeam Enterprise Manager web portal, but it does not appear to support Proxmox backups. Proxmox jobs are not visible, and we don't have an option to give a role access to Proxmox objects (Resource Pools) within the role configuration. As VBR is able to target Resource Pools for backup jobs, it would make sense to be able to target them within EM for role based authorization in the same manner. Is this something that is on the horizon or product roadmap for Enterprise Manager?

Veeam support stated they weren't able to find anything regarding Veeam Enterprise Manager and Proxmox support, which matches my experience. There also doesn't appear to be a specific forum for Enterprise Manager, unless I've missed it somehow, so posting the general VBR fourm.

Hi Joel,

Our priority is to bring all workloads to the new Web UI (v13 feature) rather than Enterprise Manager.

I think your requirement can be solved once we release custom roles (RBAC) and Web UI support for Proxmox workloads. But there is no ETA when it will become available.

As far as I read in the Veeam docs it seems like Proxmox regular Backup Jobs are still not visibile in Veeam Enterprise Manager with VBR v13.1. Is that correct?

As per the following doc, only Backup Copy and SureBackup Jobs are included:

We have added Proxmox support to our new Web UI and Custom RBAC roles in V13.1 (v13.1 - Whats New for Proxmox).

There is no plan to add Proxmox support to Enterprise Manager.

Hi Matteo,

For now I was told that the priority is to have equivalent possibilities in Web UI than in the windows console, which is understandable.
One of my customer also need Proxmox backups integration in Enterprise Manager
Proxmox jobs are manageable from WebUI since 13.1, but they're not manageable via API yet, my customer also have need for this to schedule their backups with an external scheduler.
I assume there won't be any enterprise manager integration without api support.
I was told by Veeam presales that api for Proxmox jobs might be available in v14 next year, then we maybe would have to wait more for enterprise manager integration...
Emphasis on "might be" as no one can tell today what will be definitely included in v14
