Feature requests for XCP-nG

Dear veeam dream team,

We are working now with xcp-ng in production, we would like to add some feature requests

Option to choose which worker is used for restores.
On VMware, we had dedicated restore proxies, in case an SLA call came in during the night.
In that case, we would select those proxies for the restore, as the others were busy with the backup

•More details in the GUI for restores; currently, it is not possible to see what percentage of the restore is complete
It is difficult for the operator to see how long it will take.

Virtual machines replications would be a welcome feature

•DDBOOST integration directly within the workers; currently, we have to work via a gateway.
Otherwise, it routes all traffic through the firewall.

•Is there already a solution for the pool master?
Currently, you can only set the pool master in Veeam; if you change the pool master, your backups will stop working.

More details in the GUI for restores
A progress bar will eventually come to the Web UI when we add WEB UI support for XCP-nG. Other platform plugins in the Web UI already support it. There are no plans to bring a progress bar to the Windows based backup console.

Noted.

DDBOOST integration for workers
Noted. We have similar requests for Veeam Agent. So it would make sense to bring that also for workers.

Solution for the pool master
No automatic solution today. But we have the manual steps documented in Help Center - Configuration.

If a different pool node becomes a pool coordinator then the one specified during initial configuration, all further pool operations are suspended. To fix it, replace the connected pool coordinator as described in section Step 2. Specify Domain Name or IP Address of XCP-ng Pool Coordinator or Step 2. Specify Domain Name or IP Address of Citrix XenServer Pool Coordinator.
