FEATURE REQUEST - Disable Veeam Updater Service

Hello,

I have a Veeam server that is completely isolated from any Internet connection, and I do not wish to receive alert emails errors regarding this service since the request cannot succeed in such an environment.

Could you please consider adding an option to disable this check?

Hi SySoP,

Disabling email notifications is being considered, but an option to disable the entire service currently is not. Have you considered working with mirrored repositories to deploy updates to the appliances?

How are you planning to upgrade components such as PostgreSQL without using Veeam Updater? Or is it acceptable for your organization to run outdated components with known security vulnerabilities in a dark site?

Today, Veeam Updater is the only option to keep these third-party components updated. We have plans to provide “offline” updates through Veeam Updater in the future, but I do not have an ETA.

Thanks for your reply, in fact we do not use any repository, this VBR server is not the main one, it is placed at the end of a long chain of backup, and ran bkp one times per month.
i open internet access every three months to install any updates, but in the meantimes i receive every day alerts i would like not to...
