VBR dashboard counts storage snapshots as backups

The threat hunting widget on the VBR overview dashboard reports that I have over 5,000 Backups in the past 24 hours on a VBR server that has jobs for less than 300 VM's. When support dug into the report, they said my rolling 30-minute storage snapshots count as backups.

I went back and forth a couple times and escalated my case since I do not consider storage snapshots as backups (restore points yes, but not backups)
Escalated support closed my ticket stating it is working as intended.
