Post by garyld »

When I try to add a host or VC I get the following error message "Item cannot be found in the collection corresponding to the requested name or ordinal"

Database and service is connected

Any help would be appreciated

Garyld, please try to close Veeam Monitor and restart Veeam data collector service.

The problem is the database is blank, When I run debugbview It shows ADO errors.

When I run dbutil from the command line here is the output, (Veeam Monitoring is a local group)

C:\Program Files\Veeam\Veeam Monitor for VMware Infrastructure 3>dbutil 192.168.
102.20 monitor 192.168.102.20 mydomain\gdavidson ********
Account name lookup failed.
Failed to grant privilege.
192.168.102.20; monitor
Error
Code = 80040e14
Code meaning = IDispatch error #3092
Source = Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server
Description = The login '192.168.102.20\Veeam Monitoring' does not exist

Garyld,
Yes, this might help. Probably 192.168.102.20 is not the <service account name>

DBUTIL <host name> <database name>
[<service account name> <database admin name> <database admin password>]

Please try to run:
dbutil 192.168.102.20 monitor mydomain\gdavidson mydomain\gdavidson ********
