Feature request: VM replication jobs
Hello, we're missing the oppurtunity to replicate single VMs how we were able to do it with VMWare VMs.
When will this feature be integrated in Veeam?

Will that also support replicating VMware to proxmox?david.domask wrote: May 29, 2026 1:26 pm Hi all,
Replica jobs for Proxmox will be coming in 13.1, however only local, no Cloud Connect on initial release.
Instant Recovery will be available for Proxmox with Experimental Support in 13.1.

No, it will not.
We don't support cross hypervisor replication.
Best,
Fabian

Re: What's the roadmap info for Proxmox' Instant Recovery and Replication features
Hi Fabian,
Having replication support for proxmox - proxmox is very nice.
As Cloud Connect provider, are there plans to support Cloud Connect and cross hypervisor support? And if so, could you share a general timeline for it?
We would like to migrate away from VMware but Cloud Connect is currently one of the limitations why we are still required to go through the VMware / Broadcom licensing.
Best regards,
Jos

Re: What's the roadmap info for Proxmox' Instant Recovery and Replication features
Had a first hands on with new Instant Recovery with Proxmox on simple single-host setup in V13.1
I‘ve seen there‘s a limitation on only qcow2 restore. On my demo-host there are currently two zfs-datastores and lvm-local available. I thought i should at least be able to restore as qcow2 to zfs. Unfortunately „Select storage“ does not show any supported instant-restore target.
Are there any further restrictions to keep in mind, that are not part of the documentation yet?
What‘s the best way to provide feedback on this experimental support feature?

Re: What's the roadmap info for Proxmox' Instant Recovery and Replication features
Tried out the replication feature today after updating to 13.1, on my setup it attempts to start a backup job of my target VM and eventually times out, i didnt find anything obvious in the logs but maybe Veeam can take a better look. anyone else able to get that feature working successfully?
