[Feature Request] Backup Copy Job option in Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure

Hi,

We have a specific request due to local regulations: we need to store one copy of backup data in the origin country/region, while our production data and backups reside in a different region. Backup is running fine in VBfMA, and we managed to comply with this requirement by involving a VBR server beneath the Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure server, but it would be great if we could achieve this without a VBR server involved. This would mean fewer components, fewer buckets, and simpler restores. We would just pick a backup copy job repository targeting the same region and restore VMs directly from there.

Hi Alen,

There are currently no plans to adjust this design as VBR is required anyway for the management of the appliance as of today but your request is needed and we may be able to improve this process in the future.
