We are having an issue with backing up one of our Virtual Windows servers (windows server 2003 -yes I know it should be replaced) running on a Vmware ESX 6.0.0 host. This particular ESX host suffered a failed motherboard during a routine maintenance power cycle. Motherboard was replaced but since then one of Virtual Machines refuses to backup using Veeam.
Our environment is using
Veeam Backup & Replication 9.0 (9.0.0.902)
VMware Hosts, ESXi 6.0.0 (20151004001)
Direct Attached Storage for ESX.
Backup Destination are NAS units.
The error it displays is:
Code: Select all
Failed to prepare guest for hot backup. Error: VSSControl: -2147212521 Backup job failed. Discovery phase failed. Cannot add volumes to the snapshot set. Cannot add a volume to the snapshot set. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
