Active full once a week, but veeam making daily full
We have noticed our veeam has been making constant full backups for the last five days. And now we seem to be running out of repository space very rapidly.
We have multiple veeam jobs where this is taking place.
The jobs have a setting for active full once a week, but veeam is making active full every day.
If i just take one job as an example here:
(our repositories are set to make PER VM BACKUP files.)
Incremental is selected.
Active full is selected on Friday.
Quiescence is selected.
CHanged block tracking and enable CBT for protected VM's are also selected.
Application awareness if off
Storage snapshots are off.
Is this a bug? Or is this a result of something known?
I have had the situation in the past where veeam would start making VIB files for ever, but that was a result of limited repository space.
Could the constant making of VBK files have the same cause?

Hello,
could you check if the repository has .vbk or .vib files?
Is there a possibility active fulls start manually by someone or via a script command?
Thanks

Thanks for the reply.
We have not started manual active fulls and we have no scripts manipulating jobs.
There are VIB files in the directory, but they are all from before 10 March.
I have been trying to compare settings with another veeam server we have, the jobs there run fine without a hitch.
As far as i know there are no global settings for this that might overrule individual job settings.
I looked at backup window settings as well, i thought that might cause issues when the backup would be interrupted and then simply start all over again with the active full on the next schedule time.
But not all jobs with the problem have this setting enabled.

That`s correct. As far as i know there are no global settings for this that might overrule individual job settings.
I would suggest contacting the support team as the described behavior is not expected.
Thanks!
