Hi Folks,
When implementing the Backup encryption like in https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=110, what special considerations do we need to take care of in terms of SQL Server database backup & restore, in case the encryption & decryption key is stored in the Veeam SQL database?

Re: Additional consideration when using Backup Encryption
Hi Albert
As soon an attacker has access to the backup server with administrative permissions, he can encrypt any passwords which are stored in the SQL server database. First priority should be to protect the backup server from any unauthorized access.
You can also protect the SQL server and make it only accessible by the backup server.
Thanks
Fabian
