B&R V10: BackupCopy Jobs: Registry hack

Post by Tecbil »

I am using B&R 9.5 and set it up with the registry hack

Code: Select all

Path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Veeam\Veeam Backup and Replication
Key: BackupCopyLookForward
Type: REG_DWORD
Value: 1
as described here:
https://www.veeambp.com/job_configurati ... p_copy_job.

Now as the upcoming B&R V10 includes a new implementation of BackupCopy Jobs according to its "listening mode" for BackupJob cycles, my question is:
Does this registry hack affect BackupCopy jobs in some way after upgrading to B&R V10? Do I have to delete the registry hack or can I leave it as it is?

Hi Fabio, the new immediate copy functionality is implemented as a separate job type/mode while the mentioned registry value refers to the old one. It doesn't affect the new mode and there's no need to remove it.
