Dear All
I have two VMware VMs Exchange DAG Servers, the servers use a cifs share to archive mails.
My questions is, considering that over VMs I have to backup also the cifs share exported by an Object storage, is it better to use Veeam agent inside VMs?.... instead using classic VMware snapshot backup?
Thanks

Re: Backup Cifs Share
Hello,
CIFS shares are not included in the snapshots and are not visible in the VM configuration, thus these data sources are not processed. Additionally, Veeam Agent does not process network drives/shared folders unless they are mounted via iSCSI to the guest OS.
Thank you!
