Backup Job Failed due to closed underlying connection

Yes I did (case number 00994056). Got the advice to update vCenter to 5.5u3 which didn't help, then got the RTM of patch3 for Veeam 8. Applied it yesterday, first backup cycle passed since with no errors. Will keep looking at it but patch 3 seems to help. Will not cheer to early, but it looks better.
