I thought I found a thread on this a while back but can't find it now, so any info would help!
Let's say I have 2 backup jobs backing up 3 VMs each. These were made months ago because each job was backing up vms from a different datacenter. We've now moved all the VMs to a single datacenter, and I'd like for simplicity's sake to just have one job. (I realize we could have had just one job in the beginnig, but...we didn't )
The real problem now is that I don't have enough backup storage space to start a completely new chain and keep the old files until I get my 7 restore points.
Is there a way to combine all the vm's into one job *and* continue using the existing vbk/vib files?

Re: Combining backup jobs
Hi,
Unfortunately that's not possible. The best you can do is to add VMs from the 1st job job to the 2nd job, stop the 1st job and keep its restore points for 7 more days.
Thank you.
