Completion timeout occurred?

Post by infraerik »

An interesting one here where I have a client with an older vSphere cluster in 6.0 that we're migrating off with Veeam replication which is working fine. However, all of the sudden the backup jobs have stopped working with the following sequence in the logs:

Getting VM info from vSphere
Error: Completion timeout occurred

For every single VM.

I've gone back and double checked all of the connectivity and the proxies can see and get to the open 443 ports on the vCenter and the ESXi servers (they're on the same subnet).

I've forced the preferred network to the main subnet so that should fix any multi-homing issues. The really strange part is that the replication jobs that use the same proxy are work just fine.

Hello,

That sounds like a technical issue. Please provide a support case ID for this issue, as requested when you click New Topic.
Without case number, the topic will eventually be deleted by moderators.
It's difficult to analyze such issues over the forum. The debug logs can tell us what's the issue is.

Best regards,
Fabian

PS: support can only help if you upload logs https://www.veeam.com/kb1832

OK - the usual problem is that my personal account doesn't have access to open production tickets...

As a service provider, you should use your business mail address. Your customer can make you a case administrator for his end user license.
You will be able to open cases for the customer as a case administrator:
https://www.veeam.com/kb2211

Or you can ask your customer to open the case.

Thanks
