Concurrent tasks

Sorry for this question as I have seen it repeated, but I'm reading conflicting descriptions. What exactly defines a concurrent task? Is this multiple jobs running at the same time or multiple VMs within a single job being processed concurrently? Thanks for your help.

Concurrent tasks are VM disks in the job. This setting controls how many VM disks can be processed at a time.
