Crashed backup server

Post by tomas.olsen »

I have a crashed veeam backup server that needed a full re-install. All backups of database was also lost.

New server have been created, RDM device mounted to new virtual backup server and repository have been added and old backups imported.

How can I import or create backup jobs that are identical with the old ones?
This is not critical, I Can manually create them, but how can I link them to the old files that exists? Is it enough just to create the job with the same name??

The backup is targeted towards disk, and we use reversed incrementel backup and have 14 generations of all virtual machines.

When you choose the repository in the backup job creation you have a small link in blu cloro named "Map backup", from here you can map the new job to existing backup files.
