Hi,
when seeding a replica based on a remote repository, during the process the action "Creating fingerprints for hard disk (x)" is created.
What is the expected duration in time per GB for this proces ?

Re: Creating fingerprints and seeding
Hi, should be about the same as the speed of reading the backup file from its storage in DR site. Actual math is most basic. Thanks!

Re: Creating fingerprints and seeding
Hi
What does my backup copy job say "Creating fingerprints for Hard disk 0 (x% done)" for every disk on the file server I'm backing up? Is this a bug? It takes ages per disk (over 4 hours) and it's done it five times so far.
Please advise

Re: Creating fingerprints and seeding
It is reading the entire disk data to identify what blocks should be transferred to the target. Shouldn't occur normally unless you're mapping the job or VM ID has changed, so I suggest letting our technical staff reviewing the setup to identify the reason.
