When I create a replica job using the running VMs as the source I can select the proxyies with a list of proxyies at the source site and a list of proxyies at the target site.
When I create a replica job using a backup as the source I see only one list of proxyies to select: is it advisable to select proxyies at the source site, at the target site of both?
What is the impact over the job of selecting proxyies at the source or at the target site?

Re: Data transfer and proxy
Hi,
When performing a replication from a backup you don't need source proxy as VBR server already has an access to the backup. In case of replication from VM backup server might have no access to the source datastore thus you need to specify source proxy. It is advisable to specify source and target proxies that have the fastest and the most stable access to source and tartet datastores accordingly.
Thanks
