And apparently still exists in u4a. Can we safely apply the 'veeam_backup_9.5.4.2615.update4_kb2875.exe' as this has an older build number than u4a 9.5.4.2753 .
Kind regards,
Bastiaan

We are in the process of building a new fix for U4a specifically. The existing fix is not applicable to U4a and cannot be installed on top of it. Please raise a support request on that - the team will inform you once the fix is available.
The new fix will be made available by request through the support team once it will pass the internal tests - it's not so trivial as it may sound. The R&D team is working hard to make it available asap (currently, at the time of this post, the team is in the process of building it). I cannot share any concrete ETA yet, but it should become available very soon.

Just wanted to note that as per my explanation in the top issues tracker, integrating this hotfix into U4a was not possible, because the "fix" is about rolling back VMware VDDK to an earlier version that contains known security vulnerabilities.
To anyone interested, the hotfix for U4a is ready and can be obtained through the support team, the existing KB will be updated later once we have your feedback.
