"Error: No backup proxy is able to backup this VM"

Post by jpeake »

I can't figure this one out and I'm probably just overlooking some minor detail.

I added two new VM's to an existing job. VM's are on the same ESXi host as other machines that backup fine. Storage is on the same SAN as other machines, configured the same way. The Veeam proxy is set to SAN mode, and i have connected to the new volumes with the iSCSI initiator from the Veeam server. All seems well. I have rescanned the vCenter server from the Veeam GUI.

These two machines fail with this error:

Code: Select all

3/7/2013 10:43:55 AM :: Unable to allocate processing resources. Error: No backup proxy is able to backup this VM. Check processing mode settings on proxies.
What am I missing here?
