Looking through my backup job reports I see the following errors periodically:
Error 1:
Processing Error: Unable to deserialize Microsoft SQL information.
Error 2:
Unable to release guest. Details: VSSControl: Failed to freeze guest, wait timeout
Are these a sign that I need to attend to something or change the configuration of my backup?

I'm not aware of the meaning of error1. As per error2, means the performances or some other issue is timing out the VSS freeze process. What kind of machine are you trying to backup?
