Hi all,
very often we use storage in destination on which vmdk Thin Provisioning is not supported or not suggested.
Nowadays 90% customers use dynamic VMs selection for source replication, for example vSphere Tags, Folders, Datastores and so on.
Unfortunately Veeam has a "fixed" setting about Disk Type, so all the VMs inside the job will have Thin Provisioned disk into the destination. The only way to change this is to manually add all the VMs....great waste of time and no flexibility.
Please add a way to change the default behavior.
Regards.

Re: Feature Request: Replication Disk Type selection
Hi Michele, you can add the container (this will add all VMs residing in it) and then use multi-select to select all the VMs and change the disk type setting for all of them. Thanks.

Re: Feature Request: Replication Disk Type selection
Hi foggy, you are completely right, but this would be a "static" configuration, we never do that. We always use "dynamic" method so the customer knows that every time it adds a VM, assigning a tag, putting into a datastore and so on, this VM will be replicated.
So your workaround doesn't solve the issue. We need a dynamic way to set that for every new VM.
Thanks
