Forcing the time for a specific job

Post by marius roma »

We have several backup jobs that run during the night.
We start many jobs concurrently and during the night the jobs start as soon as resources get available.
In this way we optimize the use of resources and job terminate in a reasonable time.
We want to maintain the current scheduling but we need to ensure that a specific job can start each noght at a given time and not wait for other jobs to complete.
How can we set a specific job to start at a given time regardless of other jobs?
Should we reserve a proxy for the job?
Is there any other way?
Regards

Hi Mario, yes, reserving resources for the given job is the proper way to ensure the job starts regardless of other jobs.
