GFI Mail Archiver
Anyone figure out how to backup the GFI Mail Archiver with a Veeam Job? I realize that you can increase the vss timeout on the job however after watching how long it enumerates the .bix files for I can't see how this would be viable.

As far as I know, what other customers do is increasing VSS timeout. And that seems to be the only option here. Thanks.

Not sure if using a different archiving solution would be an option - we are using Mailstore without any issues -> http://www.mailstore.comstfconsulting wrote:Anyone figure out how to backup the GFI Mail Archiver with a Veeam Job?
Since I never used GFI, I can't say if Mailstore offers the same functionality though.

Re: GFI Mail Archiver
Would love to see a better solution, but I'm not sure what it would be.
It currently takes me about 5 hours to take the VSS snapshot and 5 minutes to do the actual backup.
I don't understand why it needs to enumerate millions of static .bix files, but maybe that's just my limited knowledge of VSS.
