Hello,
I have VM with the operating system FreeBSD 11.3-Stable. On the system runs a server "freenas" which is virtual. Thats for file storage and sharing. So my question. I tried to quick migrate to new server. When i try to migrate a warning appears saying Failed to migrate some VMs: Migration of VMs with independent is not suporrted. How can i overcome the problem? Or should i create a new VM with the same operating system und load the configuration?
Thank you for your answers!

Re: How do I migrate a VM with independant disk to new server
Hello,
and welcome to the forums.
Independent disks don't support snapshots. So we cannot do a snapshot -> cannot migrate.
You can solve that my changing the disk mode to "dependent"
Best regards,
Hannes
