How to change the transport mode ?
Hi, I have network mode by default. I want to change to virtual appliance.
I change the settings:
I create a new backup of the virtual machine, but as before I see network mode.

Hi Andrei
For a Virtual App Proxy, you must use a VM running on the hypervisor itself.
Is your server dattum-bc-02 a VM on the hypervisor? Or is it physical.

Re: How to change the transport mode ?
When you open the Transport mode "Choose" button there is a checkbox at the bottom for fallback to network mode.
My guess is that fore whatever reason the HotAdd mode could not be used and the fallback to NBD happened.

to troubleshoot or contact our support.

Re: How to change the transport mode ?
Hi,
the setting is the correct one.
2 questions:
- does the Proxy Server have access to all datastores and disks you want to backup here (needs to be a VM with access to the datastores)?
- Did you also select the box to "Failover to network mode...." on the bottom of the Transport Mode windows? If yes please disable to let the job run into an failure if there is any
Please let us know what happens then.
Thanks

Re: How to change the transport mode ?
I have Simple Deploy. This is a virtual machine on one of the ESXI servers. All ESXI servers are managed using vCenter. Everything is connected to a Dell EMC SC Series.
After your advice, I get an error: 08.02.2022 11:52:13 :: Unable to allocate processing resources. Error: No backup proxy is able to process this VM due to proxy processing mode restrictions.

That is what i guessed.
you need to check most likely the logs to see why it fails.
Feel free to open a ticket at support as well.
Please also check the limitations and requirements here: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=110
