Hi!
I ran into an issue with doing Surebackup of VCSA 5.1 (vCenter Server Appliance) as it seems this VM backups fine but always fails in Surebackup. Upon further investigation it seems that restoration of VCSA even via IR only will have problems with the eth adapter because the MAC address is hard coded on the VCSA. Therefore when Veeam brings up the VM a new eth1 is created with zero network configuration, wherein the appliance fails. The fix would be to go in via CLI and edit the persistent eth and replace eth0 original mac address with the new VM's mac address. If this is the case, then I'm assuming we can't run Surebackup on this VM?

Re: IP Issue for Surebackup of VCSA 5.1
Ryan, we weren't able to reproduce the behavior on vCSA 6.0, it booted fine in the SureBackup job. I recommend contacting support for a closer look.
