Hi,
Could do with a little advice regarding the above.
Our new host environment is using 10GB iSCSI for provision of VMWare LUNS. We're going to migrate our VEEAM server onto a more beefy physical box however I'd like to know if it's possible to use SAN backup going forward for VM's hosted on the SAN?
Our new VEEAM backup server can be configured with iSCSI and be granted read access to the relevant LUN's.. We currently use a VEEAM proxy on each host and run Virtual Appliance transport mode.
Some insights appreciated.
Regards,
Simon

Re: iSCSI SAN Backup
Hi Simon, yes, direct SAN mode can be used provided backup server has access to VMFS LUNs.
