We have two VMware environments and I want to consolidate my backup proxy. The LUN ID that I present to the two environments are in conflict.: Let me exemplify:
Env1:
Datastore1, LUNID 1
Datastore2, LUNID 2
Env2:
Datastore A, LUNID 1
Datastore B, LUNID 2
I am considering presenting all the datastores with consecutively LUN ids to the proxy server with no regards to the original ID. Can Veeam handle this scenario?
Since you provide LUNs from two different devices, I'd expect Windows (proxy) to work just fine even if two LUNs have the same ID. However, I think that you should contact Microsoft on that matter so they can confirm/refute.
