Hi all,
I was wondering if you would be able to assist me with a current query I have.
The below is the current setup I am dealing with:
> Veeam Backup and Replication 9.4 U4b running SQL Server Express.
I have built a standalone SQL Server Standard 2017 box, and want to migrate the SQL database away from the VBR server - but more of the information I am finding online tells you to use the Configuration Backup to restore it (but it looks/sounds as if it would make the new SQL server as the VBR). However I want it to ideally be 1x SQL DB Server & 1x VBR Server.
Any information and steps of how to do this would be appreciated.

Re: Migrating SQL Database away from VBR Server
Hi Michael,
you can simply move current Veeam Database from SQL Express to a new server(using SQL Management Studio) and use Veeam DB Config Utility to point existing VBR Server to a new SQL Server.
/Cheers!
