MS NFS on Server 2019 and PowerNFS

Hi All,

Is there a way to use the windows server as a NFS server and use PowerNFS for restores? The NFS mount point on Windows is to be a target for RSYNC from a UNIX host, as I assume I can backup that local folder to tape via VEEAM. Am I wrong in trying to do this on VEEAM version 11?

I am not sure what you want to do here.

As well you could point NAS backup to a windows/linux server to backup a rsync target (but I would maybe better go and backup the source).

In case you want to copy the data from Veeam to another destination, check out our Backup Copy Jobs: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... _copy.html

To access the content of our backups there are many other ways like data integration APIs, VMware file restores,...

Or maybe I missinterpreted your idea completely? Can you please describe it a bit more?

OK, so I have a UNIX server that does an rsync job. I want to backup that data. I assume I can enable NFS/SMB on my VEEAM server and point the RSYNC to the VEEAM server. From VEEAM backup I assume I can backup a local folder to tape.

so I "see" it now, it would be a tape job of files.

I see PowerNFS is not to be used by VMware but I hope it could be used by my UNIX machine, if not I have to go the SMB route and deal with passwords in a file.
