Will Veeam fix this or is this something that cannot be done? If so, why?
Here is from 9.5 release notes - "VMs with virtual disk files located on different storage volumes are not supported." This completely negates the performance benefits of having different performance policies on different volumes. For example, on our Nimble arrays, there are different performance policies for an Exchange DB and for Exchange Logs. So for maximum performance, the DB's and the Logs should be on separate storage volumes/data stores with different Nimble performance policies. But Veeam does not allow this. Why?

Re: No Multi-Volume Support
Hi Lee,
Currently storage snapshot containing VMX file is used in the restore process only, that's why other snapshots are not mounted. AFAIK this is planned to be addressed in our future releases.
Thanks!
