I have a rather awkward problem to deal with.
I am responsible for PCI DSS compliance for IT for my organisation.
Until recently we were storing credit card data (but no longer).
I'd like to go through our old backups (Monthly, Yearly) for particular VMs and remove some folders/files.
This is the complete opposite of what you normally want to do (i.e. restore).
I can't think of a way to achieve this. Does anyone have any clever ideas?
(other than restoring the VMs from backup, deleting folder/files, then backing them up again).
If not, I might have to just say "it can't be done" and leave it at that.

Re: Possible to delete files/folders from backup file?
Hi Stephen, it is not possible to delete guest files from the backups. Thanks!
