Hello,
we are in the process to migrate the virtual machines from an older hardware to new hardware. We use veeam replication to migrate the VMs.
Old environment: vSphere 6.7 U3 vCenter and ESXi
New environment: vSphere 7 U2a vCenter and ESXi
Veeam Server:
- Veeam Backup & Replication v11 Patch P20210507 (with U2 support)
- 1 Linux proxy on source side
- 2 Linux proxies on target side
Replication job is configured to use the linux proxy on source side and the two linux proxies on target side. Linux proxy is based on Ubuntu server 20.04 LTS.
The replication for multiple VMs fails with the error: "Processing configuration Error: Fehler in Anwendung". Other virtual machines are replicated fine. Replication does not fail for the same VMs every time. Sometimes the replication works fine for a specific VM, next time the error appears.
Anyone have an idea why this happens?

Re: Processing configuration Error: Fehler in Anwendung
Hard to say without troubleshooting.
- your logs are full of guest processing errors: check \admin$ access in the first place and\or disable guest processing for those machine that do not need it
- there is a constant delay with waiting for available resources on Proxy machines: consider scaling them up or out
- you have a single, quite resourceful replication job for the entire cluster(dozens of machines, huge ones too): maybe split them in a few independent jobs and split those in time?
- there are authentication timeouts logged. Support will tell for sure.
/Thanks!

Re: Processing configuration Error: Fehler in Anwendung
Hello Egor,
most issues with admin$ access should be resolved, by either enter the correct credentials or disable guest processing. Log files may include records where this hasn't been changed.
Since the replication is a temporary thing, until all is replicated without issues and then moved over, we can live with waiting for resources. In the long run we only need the backup jobs.

Re: Processing configuration Error: Fehler in Anwendung
Issue could be resolved. Was a DNS issue on the linux proxy.
