Post by mgd5 » Oct 18, 2012 2:01 pm

Veeam Recommends adding an extra SCSI controller on proxie servers. Is there a way to add an controller whitout adding a disk for it ?

No, you need to create a new dummy disk on the new controller.

Uhm, not sure vSphere allows you to add a controller without adding a disk to its scsi channel.
A quick trick could be to add a tiny disk to the Veeam proxy (even only a GB) so it will have an additional controller. Have you hit the 15 channels limit of the first controller? Do you run many cuncurrent jobs on that proxy?
