Hi,
I want to migrate some VMware VMs from one datacenter to another using VBR. I also want to shrink the sizes of some of their VMDKs in the new datacenter. So for example, I have a VM with a 300GB VMDK that's only using 120GB, so I'd like to replicate it to my new datacenter and have the replica VM's VMDK size to be 150GB. Can I achieve this with Veeam B&R?
Regards, George.

Re: Replicate to smaller VMDKs
You can replicate from thick disk to thin, but I don't believe there's any way to prevent the provisioned size of the replica disk from being 300GB.

Re: Replicate to smaller VMDKs
Ok, I understand. What I'll need to do in that case is to replicate thick to thin, then clone the replica to another Datastore which will change the provisioned VMDK space to its in-use space.
