Hi
We have some remote offices where we replicate VMs to central office insetad of having local backups. When looking into all license instances we see that somereplica takes one instance nad the backup of the replica takes one.
The replicas are between two vCenter so it's not strange that Veeam sees it as two but is it possible to come around this?

Re: Replication and backup of replica takes two license instances
Hi Mats,
replica VM has different MoRefID than its origin, and IS a different VM from both VMware and Veeam perspective, so its expected behavior. I am afraid there is no supported way around this rather than stopping backing up Replica VM. There are "Backup", "Replication", "Backup Copy" and "Replication from Backup" that will not consume additional license for it.
/Cheers!
