Restore a database in a SQL AlwaysOn

Hello,

I have a question about a database restore in a sql always on cluster. When I restore a database into an existing always on cluster, is it important to choose a specific server? How do veeam check on which instance the database is online?

If you are talking about restore to alternative location, then database will be restored to the primary node. In case of restore to original location, the original SQL server instance hosting the database will be used (if a database with the same name exists on target, it will be deleted and replaced by the database from backup).
