Hi,
I want to restore the Windows VM containing a vCenter instance. When trying to restore the VM, Veeam first shuts the VM down and then tries to connect to the vCenter for restoring, which is of course not possible.
Is Veeam not able to restore a VM containing vCenter? It should actually communicate directly with the ESXi-hosts, shouldn't it?
Is Veeam not able to restore anything, when the vCenter VM is offline/crashed?
Best regards,

Re: Restoring vCenter-VM not possible?
How do you select the target host for restore? Do you browse under vCenter server to locate it? To be able to restore directly to the host, you need to add it in Veeam B&R console as standalone.
