Hi,
I am implementing immutable RHEL repo, and if i disable RHEL firewall everything works, If I enable it fails with the error "Failed to connect to Veeam Data Mover Service on host 'xx.x.x.x', port '6162' .
I have the following IPtable rules, what am I missing ?
https://ibb.co/0DRWZ1B
Thanks for any reply

Re: RHEL immutable repo fw ports
Hi Andy
Do you have maybe a case number for this technical issue?
Without case number, the topic will eventually be
deleted by moderators.
When do you see this issue? When deploying the hardened repo? Or after the deployment?
For deploying the hardened repo, SSH is also required. Without SSH, the data mover cannot be deployed.
Thanks,
Fabian

Re: RHEL immutable repo fw ports
Hi,
No case number, since i thought this was just a installation issue, and not a technical issue.
So if it gets deleted, then I guess I am wrong
I have deployed the repo, so it is when I am doing a test backup job of a physical machine.
I know 22 needs when deployed, but guess that it will not be used after ?
I have also open the ports out. See image, but still issue. So I guess there is some iptables I need

Thanks reply

Re: RHEL immutable repo fw ports
Yes, Port 22 can be closed afterwards. It's only required when doing upgrades of the hardened repository components. Our recommendation is to disable SSH to protect the backups on the hardened repository.
Even if you are still in the deployment and testing phase, it's a technical issue. Debug Logs will exactly tell us what's missing in your configuration. We cannot analyze this logs or troubleshoot connection issues effectively over the forum.
Thanks,
Fabian
