Hello,
I have a question regarding a VMware environment where it exist application-specific vms and personnel that handles app-upgrades only.
In this case, technicians create a VMware snapshot just before they make a change/upgrade of the application.
However, often they forget to remove the snapshot which is a problem.
Could you get rid of the VMware snapshot operations completely by using Veeam roles and users and configure a user (technician) to be able to perform a "Quick Rollback" instead ?
That should be the only permission the user is entitled of having regarding this specific vm(s).
If this is possible, then we would never have to worry again about VMware snapshots lying around.

Hi Johnny!
We can assist with snapshot handling with Veeam One Active Snapshots alarm\report to have it at hand.
- it can pop automatically based on Snapshot Size or Snapshot Age (say older than 1 day? bigger than 10GB?)
- it can be scheduled to be reported automatically(say every Friday 11am department manager will receive a report with Active Snapshots his team created and did not delete)
- it can be automatically deleted by Veeam based on Remediation Actions
Hope that helps!

Re: Roles and users - Quick Rollback feature.
Hello Egor,
yes, I know Veeam ONE is good at reporting/monitoring.
But is there a way to accomplish the way I describe above ?
I want a technician to have a role/permission where the only thing he is allowed to do is to run "Quick Rollback" on specific vm(s).

Re: Roles and users - Quick Rollback feature.
Built-in roles will not satisfy such strict limit.
QuickRollback-only operation can be done using RESTful API command to Veeam Enterprise Manager.
