Hi,
We have many customers using Veeam plug-in for SAP HANA and backint to backup their HANA systems on our Veeam repository.
I have a few questions :
1°) Does Veeam use Veeam Proxy in this configuration ?
2°) all the jobs wait for 15-20 minutes before the copy of the files actually happen between the SAP server and the repository. Why is that ?
Thanks,
Eric

Re: SAP HANA backint
Hi Eric,
1) No, we go directly from the server to the repository. If you use a repository type that need a gateway server, then the workflow is HANA => GW => Storage. SMB/NFS shares and dedup appliances use gateways for example.
2) This sounds strange and I do not know where this is coming from. Maybe you do not have free Repsository task slots available as other backups running, or just overall too less REpository task slots? Maybe open a ticket with Veeam support as it is pretty much guessing otherwise.
